Crystal Morton lives in Pacific Junction, IA, and works primarily in Omaha, Nebraska. She is married and has six giant dogs. In her spare time she enjoys reading and making patchwork quilts.
Crystal completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services/Management in 2012 from the University of Phoenix and Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling in 2016 from Bellevue University. Since then, she has been licensed in three states and accumulated three national certifications related to mental health counseling. She is currently en route to obtaining certification as a behavior analyst through Capella University.
Crystal has worked with children and youth in many capacities, including at-risk and detained youth, as well as in mental health crisis response and with comorbid mental/emotional health and developmental disabilities clients. Currently, she is the Director of Foster Care Therapeutic Services, providing active therapeutic intervention and guidance to clinicians and specialists in assessing risk and developing intervention plans based on client and family strengths in order to support placement stability and growth. There, she also oversees the substance use evaluations, services, and functional behavior assessment department. She currently works for K-Now in a part-time contract position.
