Rachel first began working in the field of ABA in 2015. She has an older brother with autism and has always known she wanted to work with children with special needs. Prior to working in ABA, Rachel volunteered with a developmental dance program, provided childcare for the local autism society, and conducted a summer social skills group for children and young adults with autism. After graduating from the University of West Florida in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with a specialization in Children and Society, Rachel became an RBT and worked at an ABA clinic in Florida. In 2017, she became a BCaBA. She worked in this position in both Florida and Alabama providing high-quality services to children ages 18 months to 19 years old and supervision to technicians implementing a variety of programming. Rachel has experience in both the clinic and home settings and as a consult for the classroom setting. She graduated from the University of West Florida in 2021 with a master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis and became a BCBA in 2022. Rachel has been part of the K-Now team since July 2022. Her favorite aspect of this job is teaching children how to communicate.

ROLE: Assistant Director of Superivision
Why I joined the field of ABA...
"From the time I was in high school, I knew I was going to work in the field of ABA. My older brother has autism, so this field and the work I do is very personal to me. I started volunteering at an ABA clinic and I was hooked. There is no better feeling than seeing a child learn a new skill or empowering a parent to better connect with their child."
What is my favorite part of working at K-Now?
I love working at K-Now because I get the opportunity to provide services to children and families who otherwise would not have access to ABA. Through telehealth, I get to equip others with the tools of ABA and help make a meaningful difference in others’ lives regardless of geographical boundaries.
